Purpose
Porterfield Baptist Church desires to utilize yearly kingdom journeys to support our missionary partners, create unity in the body of Christ, equip team members to have gospel conversations, and create growth through ministry planning and development.
Past and Future Journeys
2026: Local Love Week
Porterfield Baptist Church will seek to mobilize church members to share the gospel and lovingly serve to further God’s Kingdom in our local area. We will partner with local organizations, schools, businesses or non-profits and give people a choice to serve in an area of gifting or an area of needed growth.

General Guidelines
Each journey varies greatly, but explore the general information to answer frequently asked questions.
Where
Kingdom journeys tentatively rotate between national and international locations, as able. We strive to choose locations that are home to our missionary partners or ministries that we support.
Who
Due to the nature of ministries, locations, and available space, kingdom journeys will have limits on traveler slots. Traveler slots are first open to PBC’s members and regular attendees.
Service
We serve physically and spiritually to support the missionaries and ministries as they request. For example, we have built a widow’s home, held VBS activities, served in soup kitchens and feeding centers, prayed, shared testimonies, built relationships, and studied the Word.
Cost
In general, traveling costs are covered by individual travelers. Cost varies per trip and location.
